Minerva Youth Care Limited is a specialist residential children's home based in Edgbaston, Birmingham. Named after the Roman goddess of wisdom, we believe every young person in our care has immense potential waiting to be unlocked.
Our 3-bed home provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children and young people aged 7–18 with learning disabilities (mild to moderate), autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, and communication or sensory needs. With a low-to-moderate risk profile, we offer therapeutic, person-centred care rooted in respect, belonging and joy.
We are proud to specialise in supporting young people whose needs are often misunderstood. Our trained team embraces every child's unique way of experiencing the world.
At Minerva, we believe the young people in our care should have a space to call their own — even on our website. Play a game, pick a mood, or just explore. You belong here.
Everything we do is grounded in therapeutic best practice, attachment theory, and a genuine belief that every young person can flourish. We use proven, evidence-based frameworks with warmth and humanity at their heart.
Our leadership combines significant experience in health, social care, and neurodevelopmental support — with a shared passion for making a genuine difference in young lives.
We welcome referrals from Local Authorities, social workers, CAMHS teams, and education providers. Our admissions process is thorough, transparent and child-centred.
Our home is ideally located in the residential area of Edgbaston — close to green spaces, schools, community amenities and transport links across Birmingham.
